A Few Guidelines:

Here are a few guidelines that you should consider if you are involved in or witness an accident.

No matter how slight the accident.
Immediately to report any accident resulting in personal injury or vehicle damage.
Record only facts – not opinions.
As soon as possible.
Tell them their assistance will be greatly appreciated.
You will need the following information:

  • Driver’s name
  • Driver’s License number and State
  • Address
  • Telephone: Business and Home
  • License plate number and State
  • Car Make, Type and Year
  • Car Vehicle Identification Number
  • Name of Insurance Company
Keep a disposable camera in your glove box or take pictures if you have a smartphone. Be sure to take as many pictures as possible of the accident scene and the damages of all cars involved.
You will need the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Age
  • Male or Female?
You will need the following information:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Street Location
  • Speed (Yours and Theirs)
  • Vehicle Damage: Your’s and Other’s (A walkaround check of your vehicle is a good habit to develop)
  • Mark position of vehicles: 1 for yours, 2, 3, etc., for others.
